Ember 1.2.0 · string, list & math tools
Ember on your computer
Install once and ember becomes a real command in any terminal — PowerShell, Command Prompt, Terminal or bash. Run .lum files or code live in the interactive shell.
Notepad++
Write your program and save it as hello.lum, not .txt. Import the Ember language file from Language → User Defined Language → Define your language → Import, then restart Notepad++. The file adds highlighting; the terminal runs your code.
ember "C:\path to your code\hello.lum" Notepad++ Run → Run: cmd /k ember "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"download Notepad++ language file →
GitHub & Codespaces
Commit your .lum files and ember.cjs to your own repository. The kit includes a GitHub Actions file at .github/workflows/ember.yml that runs hello.lum on every push or pull request. In Codespaces, run the same command below.
node ember.cjs hello.lum
Use .cjs inside repositories that use JavaScript modules. Node.js is required; no Ember account is needed.
