about ember
Ember is a tiny programming language made to be readable out loud. A program reads like a sentence: take a list, pass it through a pipe, ask a question with a function, print the answer. There are no classes, no semicolons to remember and no ceremony before your first line.
It was built for the moment a beginner has — when you want the computer to do exactly what you said, and you want to see immediately whether you said it right. So errors carry line numbers and plain words, if/else returns a value like any expression, and a function hands back its last line without being asked twice.
The mascot is a quiet pixel penguin with a spark on its belly: small, a little mysterious, and it glows in the dark the way a good idea does at 2am.
